The Exchange will compete on America’s favorite a cappella competition! Watch as we return to the place we formed after meeting on 3rd season. Now we are here to sing for you (and a cash prize!).

We can’t tell you the outcome yet, but in the mean time, we can’t wait for you to hear us doing what we love on the new and improved stage. We filmed at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood where they film the Oscars, and the stage looks INCREDIBLE!

And since it’s only a one-episode special, we’ve got 6 groups giving their absolute best stuff and the whole crew is focused on one night only. So that means every second should be great. Not to mention, a new producer means a fresh new look on screen. We can’t wait!

The other 5 groups are incredible, with a quick take here in no particular order:

The amazing A Squared introduces live looping and FX to their innovative take on a cappella;

SF6 (San Fran Six) is a fresh group of pop power-houses with a clean, contemporary sound;

The full-hearted Timothy’s Gift is an all-female cast of Nashville’s finest with a great backstory;

Traces is an a cappella community favorite with a soulful sound and incredible leads;

Recently-formed collegiate group The Melodores is the paradigm of soaring leads and the full all-male university sound that’s made a cappella famous through America.

Here are some backstage pics from the filming!

Season Premiere Wednesday December 17 9/8c. America’s favorite a cappella show is back! Just in time for the holidays, “The Sing-Off” returns as the country’s top a cappella groups head to Hollywood for the singing competition with a soul all its own. Fall Out Boy front man Patrick Stump joins returning judges Jewel and Shawn Stockman, with Nick Lachey (“The Winner Is”) once again set as host.

Each group will perform show-stopping numbers like you’ve never seen or heard before, with no lip-synching, backup bands or safety net. They’ll be covering all your favorites from today’s top pop chart, to R&B, rock, country and more. It’s “hit the right notes or go home” in this competition, as the celebrity judges critique the performers and eliminate one group each week. The last group standing will be awarded a cash prize and an Epic Records/Sony Music recording contract. Now that’s something to sing about! One-hour alternative series.

Last year’s “Sing-Off” champions Home Free saw their recent album release “Crazy Life” go to #1 on the country iTunes chart and #4 on the overall iTunes chart. They embarked on a 36-show tour in support of the album and have appeared on shows such as “Today” and “Fox & Friends.”

As another sign of the influence of “The Sing-Off,” Pentatonix has become a musical force since winning the third season. Since debuting in 2011, the quintet has released four EPs and a full-length holiday CD, “That’s Christmas to Me,” selling more than 600,000 copies, with three of the releases debuting in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart. Having recently eclipsed 6.6 million subscribers and over 625 million cumulative views, the Pentatonix official YouTube page is currently the 13th most subscribed-to music channel, having surpassed the subscriber totals of both Avicii and Beyoncé.

“The Sing-Off” is produced by United Artists Media Group (a joint venture among MGM, Mark Burnett, Roma Downey and Hearst Corporation) along with Outlaw Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television.

Mark Burnett (NBC’s “The Voice”) is the executive producer. Deb Newmyer, Sam Weisman and James Sunderland are also executive producers.
