The Exchange had the pleasure of traveling through parts of Central and South America with the Enrichment Voyages team where the group performed, traveled, and most importantly, visited local residents at port stops to share and teach music. Along the way, The Exchange encountered a vast array of images…from luxury to poverty…and realized that music has the same effect on people no matter who you are, or how well off you are. It breaks barriers of language, religion, geography, physique, politic, age, and more.
The tour included a cruise along the west coast beginning in San Diego, to Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, and Ecuador. While it was rewarding to see some of the most beautiful places in the world, the value of the trip was seeing and singing for people who may not otherwise encounter music like The Exchange brings. The guys in the group approach each performance with a voracity and energy that is nothing short of contagious and it was an honor to exchange that with these parts of the world.
