Very early call today!

We were up at 6am to get sound-checked and get ready for an 8am show time. Sometimes you don’t know what to expect with crowds and you are left to your imagination to say things like…

“It’s early and they’ll be a little tired” or “We’re only doing a few songs, will they like us enough from that?”

Truly, another lesson learned. So many factors that I never take into account because they seem innocuous or contradictory. Their MC hyped up the crowd; they didn’t know what to expect; they were there for a good cause; the presenters were all honored clearly but briefly. The crazy thing is that as we walked down the street hours after the show (in different outfits), people still came up and said hi!

So what is “It?”

Still looking for the answers here, but so far, the reverse-engineering of what works and what doesn’t is that each time, if you get your heart going, pumping blood and feeling connected and positive, good things just happen.

Thanks for having us–good luck to all the kids who are working hard and making good things happen! It works!

DC is becoming one of my favorite cities. My brother and sister live very close and the whole place seems to be pretty down to have a great time! Fun restaurants, active night life, and it’s the capital! Except for it being pretty pricey, love it here–can’t wait to come back soon!
